Nintendo working on Switch to Switch data transfer tool

Nintendo is working on a Switch-to-Switch data transfer system that will essentially make it so users can play across multiple Switch devices without losing progress.

Speaking with CNET, Nintendo of America President, Doug Bowser, made the confirmation.

“You will have the ability to transfer between devices, your gameplay experiences,” Bowser said. “More to come on there, but that is the intention.”

As CNET notes, Bowser may be referring to an Xbox- or PlayStation-like account system that will allow users to login to multiple devices and access game saves and the like. We’ll keep you informed as more of the transfer system is detailed.

Today, Nintendo announced the Switch Lite, a smaller, cheaper version of its popular console.
