Nintendo Switch: Friend Codes are 12-digits long; you can have up to 300 Friends

Nintendo Switch uses Friend Codes and has a Friend limit of just 300, the console’s Day One update today confirmed.

Friend Codes are 12-digits long, and you’ll need the full string to add someone in that fashion.

Users can add Friends by one of four methods: Searching for local users, searching for users that you’ve played with, a Friend Code or Friend Requests. You can see some of this in action in the below video:

What do you think of this functionality? Are you keen to share 12-digit codes with your mates?

The Switch is out today — we’ve reviewed it here, and also reviewed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild here.
