Nintendo, PDP to release a GameCube-inspired fighting controller for Wii, Wii U

Nintendo has partnered with Performance Designed Products to create a GameCube-inspired fighting controller for Wii and Wii U, coinciding with the release of Super Smash Bros.

Like the GameCube’s wireless controller, the device will be wireless, but has a base station that must be plugged into the Wii or Wii U.

The controller is pretty much designed for Super Smash Bros. but will also work with any titles that support the Wii’s Classic or Classic Pro controllers.

Nintendo plans to sohw off the controller at E3 next month.
