Nintendo aims to release 2 to 3 smartphone apps per year

Nintendo aims to release 2 to 3 smartphone apps per year, it recently advised.

The intention was declared by President, Tatsumi Kimishima, during a six-month financial briefing. It mirrors a previous statement made in February this year.

Additionally, Kimishima asserted that Nintendo “will continue services for applications that have already been released,” referring to games like Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes.

He specifically referenced Super Mario Run‘s recent 3.0 update on both iOS and Android handsets in September.

Nintendo will release Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp next month, though Australians already have access to the game.

What do you think — is 2 to 3 games per year the right amount?
