Nintendo acquires Bandai Namco Singapore

The studio to be renamed Nintendo Studios Singapore

Nintendo has acquired Bandai Namco Singapore, renaming the studio to Nintendo Studios Singapore.

The deal will see Nintendo take control of 80% of the studio’s shares from 1 April 2026. The remaining shares will then “be acquired after a certain period,” according to a press release.

Bandai Namco Singapore has worked on a number of different games and franchises, including Tekken, Ace Combat, Soul Calibur, and Taiko no Tatsujin. Most notably, the studio assisted Nintendo on its first-party title, Splatoon 3, and was the lead on New Pokemon Snap.

Nintendo itself said its latest acquisition “will have only a minor effect on Nintendo’s results for this fiscal year.”

Nintendo picked up Dynamo Studios back in 2022, renaming it Nintendo Pictures. It also acquired porting studio Shiver back in 2024.
