Joining the finalists are “a number of famous faces [who] have secured wildcard spots” to the tournament alongside the AFL’s Gary Ablett (Gold Coast Suns) and Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood Magpies).

Also completing is Channel [V] presenter Danny Clayton and Penrith Panthers’ Jamie Soward.

The gamers who’ve made it through qualifying heats, and their A-league team of choice, include:

  • Melbourne City, Vasilios Katsaitas
  • Melbourne Victory, Neville Ackerman
  • Western Sydney Wanderers, Michael Gunn
  • Central Coast Mariners, Jake Nadilo
  • Newcastle Jets, Shannon Ravoul
  • Brisbane Roar, Seth Naicker
  • Sydney FC, Julian Mangraviti

The finals take place in Melbourne’s Federation Square on 29 April and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports. Players will take on one another inside FIFA 15, with the winner walking away with tickets to this year’s Hyundai A-League grand final, a ‘behind-the-scenes’ grand final experience and a 20 year anniversary PS4 console and assorted EA Sports games.
