NHL 14 predicts that the Boston Bruins will win this year’s Stanley Cup

In its yearly Stanley Cup simulation, EA Sports has used NHL 14 to predict that the Boston Bruins will win their second Stanley Cup in four years.

EA’s simulation had the Bruins over the San Jose Sharks, four games to two.

In the sim, the Bruins took out the Detroit Red Wings in the first round of playoffs, then the Montreal Canadiens and finally, the New York Rangers.

NHL 14 was also used to predict last year’s champions, and got it wrong. The game predicted the St. Louis Blues would be victorious, when in the end, the Chicago Blackhawks were the ultimate victors. As a Red Wings fan, let’s hope NHL 14 got it wrong again this time around.
