New Xbox One DVR feature will record television as you play games

Microsoft used Gamescom today to announced that the Xbox One will soon be able to record local TV onto its hard drive for later viewing, even while you’re playing a game.

Not much of the feature is known, but we’re assuming it’ll work with HDMI-In television alongside the TV Tuner currently available in Australia.

The functionality will work with Xbox OneGuide on the console and via smartphones and tablets, and goes live in 2016.
