New Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer celebrates May the Fourth

Get hype.

A new Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer celebrates Star Wars Day ahead of the series’ debut at the end of the month.

The trailer gives us some great looks at Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor), Owen Lars (Joel Edgerton) and of course, Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen).

“The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader,” Disney said in text accompanying the new trailer.

The first episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi kicks off from 27 May, with new episodes following weekly. We’ve got the skinny on when Aussies can watch right here.

Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi starts streaming on Disney+ here in Australia from 27 May.
