New PlayStation State of Play scheduled for 25 September

Update 2: The livestream is about to start — you can watch below:

Update: Developer Naughty Dog has confirmed we’ll see The Last of Us Part 2 at this week’s State of Play livestream.

Original story: A new PlayStation State of Play has been scheduled for next week and fans are assuming it has a lot to do with The Last of Us Part 2.

The livestream is scheduled for 6.00 am AEST on Wednesday, 25 September (aka 1.00pm PDT 24 September or check your own timezone here) and will be a 20-minute long “hefty show,” according to the publisher.

Whlie we don’t have any confirmation as such, the event does coincide with a media event that has been confirmed to deal with The Last of Us Part 2. How do we know that? Well, apart from it being public knowledge at this point, Stevivor will be over in LA getting the scoop on Naughty Dog’s latest.

We’ll have more from next week’s PlayStation State of Play event as it happens.
