New Mortal Kombat movie casts Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero

The new Mortal Kombat movie has cast Joe Taslim as leading character Sub-Zero, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Taslim, the first actor to be cast in a main role, has starred in films such as The Raid, Fast & Furious 6, Star Trek: Beyond and The Night Comes for Us.

The new Mortal Kombat movie is currently in production under the guidance of James Wan (Aquaman, Saw). The movie will be filmed in Adelaide, South Australia; a local agent will soon be on the hunt for Aussie talent across a number of roles including martial artists, wrestlers and more.

We’ll have more on the Adelaide-based Mortal Kombat movie as news is made available.
