New Marvel game stars Captain America, Black Panther during a war

Here's your first tease.

A new Marvel game starring Captain America and Black Panther has been confirmed by Disney and Skydance New Media.

The game’s teaser trailer, below, confirms that it stars the pair of heroes during WWII. The four heroes are Steve Rogers’ Captain America, Azzuri as Black Panther (who is T’Challa’s grandfather), US soldier Gabriel Jones, and Nanali of the Wakandan Spy Network.

While we’re hoping the heroes will be working together, a brief shot of cat-like claw marks on the Cap’s shield might suggest otherwise.

For its part, Skydance wasn’t too revealing about its work.

Four Heroes. Two Worlds. One War. In collaboration with Marvel Games, Skydance New Media is proud to share the first look at our new AAA game with an ensemble cast and original story set in our unique Marvel Universe,” it wrote alongside the trailer.

Skydance previously teased the title as an “ensemble game” and a “a narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure game”. The studio is also working on a Star Wars game for Disney and LucasFilm. The studio is lead by Amy Hennig, who’s worked as a writer for the majority of the Uncharted franchise.
