New Halo novel to star Nathan Fillion’s ODST character

A new digital Halo novel to be released in March will revolve around Nathan Fillion’s Halo 3: ODST character, Gunnery Sgt. Edward Buck.

The novel, titled Halo: New Blood is set for a 2 March release.

“I absolutely loved Halo 3: ODST myself, and I always wanted to know more about Buck and his teammates too,” the book’s author, Matt Forbeck, said in an interview with Halo Waypoint. “When you finish the game, there are so many unanswered questions about who Buck is and what’s going to happen to him. This became my chance to fill in a lot of the blanks in his past and even help chart out his future, and I could not have been more honored.”

Halo 3: ODST is set to be added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection as an apology for the game’s launch issues.
