New Final Fantasy 7 Remake screenshots are beautiful

We’ve a batch of new Final Fantasy 7 Remake screenshots, straight out of E3 2019.

You can check out Cloud, Aerith, Barret and Tifa below, alongside shots of some scenary and combat. The screens come as Gematsu has translated a lengthy piece on the title that appeared in Japan’s Weekly Famitsu. There’s quite a lot on character designs, which seems appropriate.

“We wanted Tifa to have abs, so she has an athletic body type,” Director, Testuya Nomura, said. “The ethics department at Square Enix also told us that we had to tighten her chest as not to get unnatural during all the intense action. From there we got the black underwear and fitted tank top.”

Nomura also confirmed that Cloud’s cross-dressing scene “is still in.”

“We’ve made it more modern,” he added. “If we made the facility like we did in the original game, the physical unease would be staggering, so that was no good.”

Final Fantasy 7 heads to PS4 on 3 March 2020.
