NeoGAF sexual assault allegations are “ridiculous”, says owner

The owner of NeoGAF says allegations of sexual assault actually stem from an encounter that was “totally harmonious and consensual.”

Over this past weekend, allegations that Malka had sexually assaulted a female hit the internet. NeoGAF’s moderators have reportedly jumped ship and the site itself went dark on Sunday.

According to Vice Waypoint, owner Tyler Malka said that the allegations made against him are “totally ridiculous and baseless” and “a perfect storm of misanthropy and opportunism.”

The alleged victim of the assault told Vice that Malka’s response was “delusional.”

Malka asserted that NeoGAF will be back up and operational later today and he will steer the site “away from the increasingly untenable off-topic discussions that made 2017 such a stressful year for everyone.”

The owner also told Vice that he’ll remain “at the helm” of the popular video games forum.

We’ll continue to report on this story as more is made available.
