Need for Speed Heat reveal ahead of Gamescom

Update: Heat it is. The NFS Subreddit has found a scheduled video and ripped its featured image — said thumbnail confirms what we’ve suspected for a while now.

The image is above and the NFS reveal itself happens later tonight.

Original story: The next Need for Speed title — likely, Need for Speed Heat if a retailer leak is to be believed — will be revealed just before Gamescom, EA and Ghost Games have teased.

A counter on the franchise’s official website is slowly ticking away to 11.00 pm AEST tomorrow, 14 August. While we’re not exactly sure what happens at that point, it’s very probable that details of the next title in the racing franchise will be revealed.

Back in May, Ghost Games confirmed a new Need for Speed game was coming in 2019.

“A new Need for Speed game will be releasing later in 2019,” EA’s Ben Walke confirmed, also mentioning that the franchise will turn 25 years old at the same time.

We’ll have more on Need for Speed (Heat?) when it’s been confirmed.
