NBA 2K21 adds 2K Beach to the Neighbourhood, details MyCAREER

NBA 2K21 has added 2K Beach to its ever-expanding 2K Neighbourhood, with 2K and Visual Concepts also detailing what to expect from MyCAREER in this iteration of the franchise.

“2K Beach is the latest location in the Neighbourhood, where players live out their day-to-day 2K basketball experience,” 2K said in a press release today. “Jump into 3v3 streetball runs with your crew, 5v5 ProAm games for something more serious and take part in plenty of events providing even more reasons to come back all year long.”

Moreover, it was confirmed that MyCAREER, titled “The Long Shadow”, will tell the story of Junior, “the son of a beloved baller who faces the challenges of trying to make it to the NBA, balancing legacy while carving his own path through high school to college.”

MyCAREER will include 10 officially licensed colleges to assist in the narrative — Michigan State, UConn, Florida, Gonzaga, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, UCLA, Villanova University and West Virginia — alongside performances from Jesse Williams, Dijmon Hounsou, Mirelle Enos, Michael K. Williams and cover athletes Damian Lillard and Zion Williamson.

Expect NBA 2K21 from 4 September on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch. A next-gen version follows in November, but it’ll cost you.
