Naughty Dog seems finished with Uncharted after The Lost Legacy

Naughty Dog Co-President, Nathan Wells, says that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is likely the developer’s last foray into the franchise.

“I would say that Naughty Dog doing an Uncharted after this is unlikely,” Wells said to GameInformer.

“I would never say never, but we’ve got The Last of Us Part II on our plates and there’s so much other stuff. It’d be hard. If we magically had that two-team, three-team studio, sure – it’d be great to keep doing it. We really love the franchise, but the studio has limited resources and lots of other ideas. I’d say the likelihood is low.”

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is standalone DLC that delves into the backstory of Uncharted 4‘s Chloe. It’s expected this year on PS4.

Naughty Dog’s past work is being revitalised by developer Vicarious Visions in the form of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, also expected this year on PS4. It bundles remasters of Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bandicoot: Warped.
