Naughty Dog devs reportedly under mandatory crunch for Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet

Say it ain't so!

Sony studio Naughty Dog is reportedly forcing its employees to work a minimum of eight hours overtime a week on the upcoming Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet, according to Bloomberg.

The outlet states that, since late October, employees have been required to work a minimum of eight hours of overtime per week, though total hours per week cannot exceed a maximum of 60 hours. Overtime is to be logged by an internal spreadsheet.

Moreover, a previous requirement of three days worked in the office per week has been changed to days days per week, Bloomberg reports.

The report states that this crunch has been placed upon Naughty Dog as developers have missed multiple deadlines on internal demos for Sony. Mandatory overtime is slated to end this week, days before Christmas; the requirement of working in the office three days per week has been reinstated from then until the end of January 2026.

Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet is planned for release on PS5, though does not have a release date at present.
