Mortal Kombat movie delayed by one week

It's better than the Resident Evil movie delay...

The new Mortal Kombat movie has been delayed by one week, Warner Bros has today declared.

Originally scheduled for a 16 April release, we can now expect the film from 23 April.

While disappointing, Mortal Kombat‘s one-week delay is certainly better than the two-month one announced for Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City.

Mortal Kombat stars Lewis Tan (Iron Fist) as a former MMA fighter with a strange dragon mark on his chest. He’ll go up against franchise mainstays including Raiden, Mileena, Jax, Sub-Zero, Goro, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Kano and many more.

Mortal Kombat heads to theatres (and HBO Max where available) on 23 April.
