Minecraft Earth Sydney pop-up offered over November weekends

A special Minecraft Earth Sydney pop-up event will take place throughout November in Campbell’s Cove and provide “your best chance” to see the game playing as intended, Microsoft has today announced.

The event will feature “life size Minecraft statues and interactive one-of-a-kind experiences” and kicks off on 16 November between 10.00 am to 7.00 pm AEDT, running across the same hours on 17 November as well.

“These statues will inspire collaborative play around the world and give players an exclusive new in-game character (or ‘mob’ as the kids call them in Minecraft) timed with Minecraft Earth’s release,” Microsoft advised in a press release, also saying the events were “your best chance to see the full power of Minecraft Earth bringing people together around a magical new experience.”

The event will continue over those same hours across two additionals weekends: 23-24 November & 30 November to 1 December. The statues will remain in place throughout the entire period. Moreover, similar pop-up experiences will also be offered over the same three windows in New York’s Hudson Yards and London’s Queens Walk.

Minecraft Earth is a new augmented reality (AR) experience, available in early access here within Australia on both iOS and Android devices.
