Microsoft: Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition is “officially sold out”

Microsoft’s Mike Nichols has taken to Xbox Wire to confirm that the Xbox One X Project Scorpio limited edition console has sold out.

“Sunday night in Germany we unveiled the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition, a special edition console designed for our biggest fans. That night we launched pre-orders worldwide and we have been overwhelmed by your response,” Nichols wrote.

“Within just a few days, we saw record-setting sell-out times and are currently sold out in many countries around the world.”

Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb has taken the statement one step further, saying the console is “officially sold out”.

Were you able to secure a pre-order if you wanted the special console?

The Xbox One X heads to stores on 7 November. It retails for $649 AUD.
