Microsoft to unveil Xbox division restructuring this week

All Things D yesterday reported that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will unveil his Xbox division restructuring on 11 July. The site alleges that Xbox will sit under the direction of current Windows software and hardware head Julie Larson-Green.

Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business, which includes its Xbox and Zune brands, was recently under the leadership of Don Mattrick. Mattrick left to take over as CEO as Zynga, effective 8 July. Ballmer is currently overseeing the Xbox division until a replacement is named.

If the restructuring rumours prove true, Larson-Green will be responsible for Xbox, Zune, Surface and music and TV services.
