Microsoft Surface Go: Direct competition to the iPad?

The Microsoft Surface Go was today announced, a cheaper, powerful miniaturised version of the Surface Pro.

Weighing just 520 grams and 8.3mm thick, the Surface Go will retail for $599 AUD and feature a 7th Gen Intel Pentium Gold Processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The unit also possess a USB-C port, headphone jack and has the ability to expand storage.

More expensive models are available, offering up to 8GB of memory and 256GB of storyage.
