Microsoft Store PC app seemingly listing Xbox Game Pass removal dates

Time will tell.

The Microsoft Store PC app is seemingly listing dates that titles will be removed from Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

As spotted by Alias79514632 on Twitter, the recently updated Microsoft Store PC app now lists when a title’s 20% Xbox Game Pass discount will end, likely marking the very same date that the title itself will leave Microsoft’s subscription services.

TrueAchievements has done some sleuthing and has discovered that a large number of titles have advertised dates, as follows:

  • Yakuza 4 Remastered (Windows): 31 January 2022
  • Yakuza 5 Remastered (Windows): 31 January 2022
  • A Plague Tale: Innocence (Windows): 1 February 2022
  • Control (Windows): 1 February 2022
  • The Medium: 1 February 2022
  • Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age (Windows): 16 February 2022
  • Alien: Isolation (Windows): 1 March 2022
  • Yakuza 6 The Song of Life (Windows): 1 April 2022
  • Octopath Traveler: 1 April 2022
  • Outriders: 1 April 2022
  • Dragon Quest Builders 2: 1 May 2022
  • Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (Windows): 16 May 2022

We’ve asked Microsoft for comment on the matter; for the moment, the dates above are unconfirmed.

As it stands, we have confirmation of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in January 2022.
