Microsoft restructures, placing Kinect, HoloLens guru at the top of “a bunch of Xbox teams”

Microsoft Corporate Vice President Kudo Tsunoda, responsible for the Kinect and the upcoming HoloLens, is moving into yet another leadership role at the company.

Via video, it was confimed that Tsunoda is leading “a bunch of Xbox teams,” including Microsoft developers Lift London, Lionhead, Twisted Pixel and Rare.

He will also work with the development teams behind titles like ScaleboundQuantum Break and Crackdown.

The new setup, according to Tsunoda, is one “that gives our teams the best chance for success.”

As part of the restructure, Microsoft Studios General Manager Hanno Lemke is moving to oversee Danish studio Press Play; John Needham, Lionhead boss, heads over to HoloLens development and Wil Mozell, General Manager of BigPark, is now at Black Tusk.
