Microsoft recruits Certain Affinity to work on Halo Infinite

The studio is hiring to take on the challenge now.

Microsoft has recruited developer Certain Affinity to work on Halo Infinite, the studio has today announced.

“We’ve been part of the Halo franchise for more than 15 years and we’re honored to say we are deepening our relationship with 343 and have been entrusted with further evolving Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways,” Certain Affinity said in a blog post.

The studio is hiring “for all disciplines” in Austin, Toronto and remote locations.

Earlier in the monthHalo Infinite‘s 343 Industries apologised for ongoing issues within the title, saying, “we’re certainly not happy to be unable to meet player and community expectations, it’s a difficult situation that’s going to take the team time to work through.”

It’s unclear what Certain Affinity will be doing within Halo Infinite at this time; in the past, the studio has created maps in Halo 2 and Halo 4 and provided support work on the development of both Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, and later Halo 2 Anniversary.

Halo Infinite is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. We reviewed it here.
