Microsoft confirms global launch for Xbox One “later this year”

Today at Microsoft’s Xbox Reveal event, a global launch for the console was confirmed.

The problem is, a date wasn’t. Don Mattrick took to the stage to announce that the Xbox One global launch will take place “later this year.”

Microsoft’s Xbox One press release confirmed this, simply stating, “Xbox One will launch in markets around the world later this year.”

The Xbox One’s price was not divulged.

It’s a little bit better than the vague release date announced by Sony for their PS4, isn’t it?
