Metroid Dread boss rush update now avaliable

Time to jump back in!

A Metroid Dread boss rush update is now available in-game, free to those who already own the game.

The update comes with three new modes, all revolving around the theme of the boss rush.

The first is a standard boss rush mode, in which Samus will take on each of Dread‘s bosses. Your missiles will be restored between fights, but Samus’ health carries over from encounter to encounter. The second is a survival mode, in which a timer is added to the mix. The third and final mode is called dread rush; in it, you’re done after taking a single hit.

A practice mode is also available before you get down and dirty.

Metroid Dread is available on Nintendo Switch. We reviewed the title here and awarded it a Stevivor GOTY 2021 award for best Nintendo game.
