Metal Gear 3, Silent Hill 2 remakes coming 2024, says Sony

Get excited!

Metal Gear Solid 3 and Silent Hill 2 remakes will both head to players in 2024, according to a new hype reel from Sony.

The Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, properly known as Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, was first announced by Konami in May of last year. At the time, Konami said the remake was a “faithful recreation of the original story and game design,” that “[evolves] gameplay with stunning visuals and a seamless user experience.”

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater is planned for Konami on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5.

Next, the Silent Hill 2 remake is a collaboration between Konami and Layers of Fear‘s Bloober Team and was announced back in 2022. Planned for PC and PS5, the title will also be “faithful to the original title,” according to Bloober Team, and focused on “the distinct, visceral atmosphere” of the original.

We’ll keep you up to date as to actual release windows or release dates of those two projects. In the meantime, which are you most excited for?

The hype reel, below, also shows off additional titles including Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8 — all available this month — alongside other bangers like Final Fantasy 7 RebirthYou can check it out below.
