Melbourne Queer Games Festival 2020 submission deadline extended

The Melbourne Queer Games Festival (MQGF) 2020 submission deadline has been extended by a week to 22 August, its organisers detailed over the weekend.

Submissions to the festival are free of charge and open to any developer of an LGBTIQ game. Moreover, the 2020 iteration of the festival will also offer up an Emerging Developer Award alongside a cash prize of $500 USD.

Now in its third year, the festival seeks to “inform, entertain and challenge LGBTIOQ players be reflecting their lives in games” and “bring the best of world queer culture to Melbourne”. A proud lofi and downloadable event, this year’s festival will also add a two-hour quickplay livestream to a longer form livestream that will showcase shortlisted and prize-winning titles.
