MediEvil remaster heading to PS4 in 2018

A MediEvil remaster will head to PS4, Sony recently announced at its PlayStation Experience 2017 event.

The remaster will celebrate MediEvil‘s 20th anniversary and was described by Sony as a “proper PS4-grade resurrection”. A release date wasn’t detailed, but said anniversary takes place in 2018, so we’ll likely get the game next year.

MediEvil was released in 1998 and developed by SCE Cambridge, who eventually became Guerilla Cambridge before its closure this year. It’s an action-adventure hack ‘n slash game that spawned a sequel, MediEvil 2 in 2000 and a re-imagined remake, MediEvil: Resurrection on PSP in 2005. The original game is also available as a PSOne Classic on PS3.

We’ll have more on the MediEvil remaster as it becomes available. Are you excited to one again play as Sir Daniel?
