Marvel to shut down Marvel Heroes MMORPG

Marvel will soon shut down Marvel Heroes, it recently declared.

The MMORPG is currently available in two flavours; Marvel Heroes has been available on PC since 2013, while Marvel Heroes: Omega debuted on Xbox One and PS4 earlier this year.

Alas, both will soon be no more.

“We regret to inform our Marvel Heroes fans that we have ended our relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, and that the Marvel Heroes games will be shut down,” Marvel recently confirmed in a statement.

“We would like to sincerely thank the players who joined the Marvel Heroes community, and will provide any further updates as they become available.”

A specific date of closure was not yet detailed, but Kotaku notes that Gazillion has already missed several content updates.

Marvel Heroes is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
