Lighter, slimmer PS Vita heading to Australia in June

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia today confirmed that the lighter, slimmer PlayStation Vita wi-fi model will be available in Australia from 4 June.

The new PS Vita model, otherwise known as the PCH-2000 series, features a streamlined form factor and 1GB internal memory card. It’s 20% slimmer and 15% lighter than the original PS Vita and sports a high-definition LCD display. The unit also boasts a longer battery life that will provide up to 6 hours of gameplay and 7 hours of video play.

The PS Vita slim will retail for $269.95 AUD.
