Life is Strange won’t be in sync until season two

Dontnod co-director Michel Koch has explained to Eurogamer some of the issues faced in the development of their episode graphic adventure Life is Strange. One is the issue of lip sync in the game, where characters words and lip movements don’t match, an issue that Koch concedes could not be fixed until season two.

Dontnod placed their budget priority on voice acting and writing rather than technical proficiency and the episodic release schedule leaves them unable to make technical improvements until the next season. Koch also explained how other publishers wanted to interfere with the game, adding action sequences and QTE’s. You can check out the full interview here.

Life is Strange episode two arrives 24 March for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
