The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD heads to Switch on 16 July

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD will head to Nintendo Switch on 16 July, Nintendo today confirmed as part of its Nintendo Direct.

The title will offer up Joy-Con centric motion controls, though players can choose to play without them and use button-only controls if they desire. We’ll be doing the latter.

Also available alongside the game will be special Joy-Cons means to mimic Link’s shield and sword. You can check them out above.

Back in 2018, Nintendo said it had “no plans” to release Skyward Sword on Switch.
