The Last of Us TV show casts Game of Thrones star as Ellie

Bella Ramsey will play the protagonist.

The Last of Us TV show has found its Ellie, and it’s none other than Game of Thrones‘ Bella Ramsey.

Ramsey starred as Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones and once again returns to HBO for this television project.

The news was first detailed by The Hollywood Reporter, prompting Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann to congratulate the actress.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Bella join the TLoU family,” Druckmann wrote.

At the same time, The Hollywood Reporter has squashed rumours of Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali being cast as Ellie’s companion, Joel.

The Last of Us will air on HBO, a production of Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Word Games and Naughty Dog.
