Kollector is Mortal Kombat 11’s newest fighter

Kollector is Mortal Kombat 11‘s newest fighter, revealed over the weekend.

In the same vein as kombatants Goro, Kintaro and Sheeva, Kollector is a four-armed (former?) disciple of evil.

“The Kollector was born into poverty and seized his collections duty with a zeal that impressed Shao Kahn, becoming one of the Emperor’s most feared associates,” a press release from NetherRealm said, describing the fighter.

“As more of a corrupt, mafia enforcer than a government official, The Kollector stole riches from Outworld’s people, rewarding himself with wealth and status in turn, but when Shao Kahn died, Kotal Kahn vowed to weed out the former regime’s corruption. After years in hiding, living off his ill-gotten gains, The Kollector was captured and now faces execution, determined to destroy anyone in his path.”

The fighter really plays up to that collector theme, using a bloodied backback — and the contents within it — in special attacks and even a fatality. You can check Kollector in action below. This announcement marks the franchise’s third new fighter alongside Cetrion and Geras.

Mortal Kombat 11 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch on 23 April.
