It’s survival of the fittest in The Darwin Project

The Darwin Project was today showcased at the Xbox E3 press conference.

Announced at PAX East 2017, The Darwin Project “takes place in a post-apocalyptic landscape in the Northern Canadian Rockies,” according to developer Scavengers Studio.

“As civilization prepares for an impending ice age, a twisted new project emerges, half science experiment and half live-entertainment. It’s called The Darwin Project and it challenges participants to survive the cold and fight to the death in a treacherous, snow-covered arena.”

The Darwin Project is reinventing the battle royale sub-genre,” the game’s trailer states. “It challenges players to survive the cold and fight to the death in a treacherous, snow-covered arena. In the Darwin Project the environment is as dangerous as the players themselves.”

Bit of a Hunger Games feel there too, eh? Ultra-hyper Esports commentator not included.

We’ll have more on The Darwin Project as it becomes available. It’s expected in 2018 on Xbox One and Windows PC.
