All the streaming apps confirmed for PS5 launch

A handful of international streaming apps have been confirmed for the PS5 at launch, and we’ve got the full list for you below.

Sony today confirmed the following streaming services as compatible with PS5 on launch day, 12 November here in Australia:

  • Apple TV
  • Disney+
  • Netflix
  • Spotify
  • Twitch
  • YouTube
  • Stan
  • 7Plus

Update: PlayStation Australia today confirmed that Stan and 7Plus will be available locally.

The PS5 media remote, shown above, will have dedicated buttons for 4 of those 6 apps.

Moreover, “additional streaming apps coming to PS5 include Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu, Peacock, and more,” Sony advised… but it looks like that list will miss launch day.

Locally, we’ve yet to receive confirmation of services that will be available from launch. We’re hoping the list above can be bolstered with apps like Stan, Binge, Kayo and more. We’ll update readers as to Australian app availability when we learn more.

The PS5 heads to store shelves on 12 November.
