Instinction gameplay shows off a Dino Crisis fan’s dream

Check it out!

New Zealand-based developer Hashbane Interactive has shown off the first look at Instinction gameplay, and we’ve got it here for you below.

Announced back in February 2021, and promising “lots of dinosaurs”, Hashbane said Instinction will offer up “a modern take on an age old cult classic, a dinosaur survival game with modern mechanics and a compelling story.”

Today, Hashbane described the title as “a first person prehistoric action-adventure with a wide-linear campaign”.

Gameplay will offer quests, puzzles, combat and exploration,” Hashbane continued. “Explore The Rift, filled with all manner of prehistoric beasts. You will need to be resourceful and quick-witted, only the brave survive.”

Late last week, we finally got a proper look at what Hashbane is working on, the first part of a gameplay series that will continue through 2024.

“This first video occurs very early in the game,” Hashbane said. “[Protagonist] Izzy is still getting to grips with the situation.”

The second part of the series will focus on combat between”human and dinosaur AI” while the third part will detail “destruction, swimming and reveal another unique mechanic[s].”

Alpha access to Instinction is planned for later in 2024, with a full release aiming for late 2025.

Instinction is planned for a release on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5.
