iiNet confirms quota-free streaming when Netflix hits Australian shores later this month

iiNet today confirmed that users will receive unmetered, quota-free streaming when using Netflix Australia from 24 March.

Customers with broadband, Naked DSL, NBN and iiNet TV with Fetch will receive quota-free Netflix streaming.

“We couldn’t be happier about Netflix launching in Australia. It opens up a whole world of affordable entertainment options for our customers and we’re adamant about ensuring the content is easily accessible to as many people as possible,” said David Buckingham, iiNet CEO. “In addition to our partnership with FetchTV, Netflix significantly strengthens our entertainment offering and we expect it to be an extremely popular option for all those avid television and movie fans out there.”

An iiNet representative also confirmed with Stevivor that the quota-free streaming only applies to Netflix Australia, meaning those who have Netflix via other means aren’t eligible.
