Horizon Zero Dawn: PS4 Pro enhancements detailed

Guerrilla Games took to the PlayStation Blog to detail PS4 Pro enhancements available inside Horizon Zero Dawn.

The PS4 Pro is said to offer “far better image quality” to those with non-4K HDTVs. This is done by supersampling, rending the game internally at a higher resolution before shrinking it back down to standard 1080p.

Those with 4K TVs will be able to take advantage of a higher resolution, using Guerrilla’s 2160p rendering checkerboard. You’ll be able to see finer details, such as the stitching on Aloy’s outfit.

HDR support, shadow maps and antisotropic filtering will also be available.
