HoloLens will work with the Xbox One

Xbox’s Phil Spencer used GDC in San Francisco to confirm that Microsoft’s wearable VR device, HoloLens, will work with Xbox One titles.

Functionality has to obviously be programmed into those select games, so no examples were able to be given. Spencer did say that interested developers should sign up for the Windows Insider Program for eventual API access.

“While there are going to be many uses and industries that take advantage of Microsoft HoloLens and everything that holographic computing has to offer, gaming is a huge opportunity,” Microsoft later affirmed via press release.

We expect to learn more of HoloLens at Microsoft’s upcoming Build conference.
