Here’s Lower Decks’ Mariner & Boimler in Star Trek Strange New Worlds

MAKE IT SO.

We’ve got our first proper look at the Star Trek Strange New Worlds, Star Trek Lower Decks crossover episode, with real-life versions of the usually cartooned Ensigns Mariner and Boimler.

Ensign Beckett Mariner and Ensign Bradward Boimler are portrayed in real-life by their very same voice actors, Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid, respectively.

You can check out both actors — Newsome on the left and Quaid on the right — above. You can also get a glimpse of them — and other episodes that will take place over Strange New Worlds‘ second season — in the trailer below.

In addition to Newsome and Quaid, newcomers Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk and Carol Kane as Chief Engineer Pelia will join the crew of the Enterprise.

Newsome has also recently announced that’s a writer on the newly-announced Star Trek Starfleet Academy show… that is, when the current writers’ strike is over.

The show is available in Australia on Paramount+; a subscription will set Aussies back $8.99 AUD per month. You can sign up now and get your first week free.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds airs on Paramount+ in the USA and Australia, and Crave in Canada. Season 2 starts up on 16 June locally.
