In lieu of a proper review.

In lieu of a proper review, I’m having a great time with Revenge of the Savage Planet already. It’s retained its unique flavour and humour established inside Journey to the Savage Planet, and lo and behold, Raccoon Logic’s Alex Hutchinson was right when he talked about a shift to third-person perspective opening up new avenues for exploration and humour.

Revenge doesn’t take itself seriously at all, the result of a game perfect for jumping in and blowing off some steam. While this isn’t a full-blown review, I’d certainly recommend it — especially if you enjoyed the original.
Revenge of the Savage Planet heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5 on 8 May 2025, also available on Xbox Game Pass. Its Cosmic Hoarder Edition provides early access to the game riiiiiight now.
