Yes please.

Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice has just received a free update on Xbox Series consoles that adds up to 4K resolution, 120 frames-per-second (FPS), ray-tracing, a chapter select and more.

Developer Ninja Theory took to Twitter earlier today with the news.

“We’re excited to announce a new, free update for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, available now on Xbox Series X|S,” the tweet began. “Ray tracing on both Series X & S. Up to 4K resolution. Up to 120hz. Updated materials, particles and details. Chapter select.”

Players can choose between three modes:

  • Performance: No ray-tracing, dynamic 1080p and 120FPS on X; No ray-tracing, full HD and 60FPS on S
  • Resolution: No ray-tracing, dynamic 4K and 60FPS on X; No ray-tracing, dynamic 1440p and 30FPS on S
  • Enriched: Ray-tracing, dynamic 4K and 30FPS on X; Ray-tracing, full HD and 30FPS on S

It’s great news if you were planning on playing through Senua’s Sacrifice in advance of the upcoming Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2.

Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Switch.
