Halo’s Frank O’Connor wants local split-screen back for Halo 6

Speaking with GamesRadar, 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor admitted he wants local split-screen back in the franchise.

“Realistically for Halo 5, it’s not something we can just throw in a patch,” he said. “It’s just not feasible with the way the engine works.

“Splitscreen is fun for me too. It’s not something that I object to, and we would’ve loved to put it in. We’ll talk about it for the next game, and we’ll talk about it for the future.”

Here’s hoping this is more than a pipe dream.

Halo 5 is available now on Xbox One; multiplayer is only attainable over Xbox Live.
