Halo TV series to now screen on Paramount+

So who knows how Aussies will access it at this point...

The Halo TV series will move from Showtime over to CBS Viacom’s upcoming Paramount+ streaming service, it was recently announced.

Deadline reports that the show is currently in production in Budapest and will premiere on Paramount+ sometime in early 2022.

“[Halo] delivers the visceral excitement of playing the game, along with a much deeper emotional experience around the Spartans, human beings who got their humanity chemically and genetically altered,” David Nevins, Chief Creative Officer, CBS & Chairman and CEO, Showtime Networks, told the outlet. “The story is about reclaiming what makes them human, and therefore it’s a very powerful story.”

While Paramount+ will replace CBS All Access in the United States of America next month, it’s unclear when exactly Australians will be offered the service. For now, a mid-2021 timeframe has been communicated.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about the Halo TV series.
