Halo: Spartan Assault heading to Windows 8 devices today

Halo: Spartan Assault, Vanguard Games and 343 Industries’ top-down, twin-stick arcade shooter, will be available for Windows 8 PCs, tablets and mobile devices later in the day.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, 343 Industries announced that Halo: Spartan Assault will launch in the USA at 4.00 pm on 18 July, which is pretty much right this second in Australian-time. We’re hanging around in the Windows 8 Store to confirm availability as soon as we can.

Spartan Assault comes complete with achievements, leaderboards, challenges and unlockable rewards for Halo 4. It’s set between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4.
